Julius Niednagel & Sons had no trouble in keeping the houses warm during the cold snap. The roses and carnations are looking fine. The roses are giving a nice cut and the carna- tions are full of buds and flowers. The Wm. Blackman Floral Co. is having its usual good business. They are short of stock and have to buy considerable. Louis Fritsch had quite a run of funeral work one day last week. His carnations are in excellent condition. Karl Zeidler gave as a premium a fine sago palm for the smallest dog at our recent poultry show. Eoyston & Fenton are oflf crop and the cut or roses is smaii. E. L. Fenton won several blue ribbons on his White Wyandottes at the poultry show. Mr. Eoyston won on his, also. J. C. Elsperman says that business has been quiet, but seems to be picking up again. Miss Marion Halbrooks, daughter of Paul Halbrooks, superintendent of the Columbus Floral Co., of Columbus, was here recently on a visit with her grandparents. On her way home she stopped in Louisville and visited sev- eral of the leading florists of that city. She takes a great interest in her fath- er's business and is a great help to him. E. L.
