Dec. 1, 2011, marks Iraq's Day of Commitment. The ceremony hosted by the Iraqi government at Al Faw Palace, in Baghdad, Iraq, would be the last of its kind as forces continue to draw out of Iraq. United States Forces Iraq Commander, General Lloyd J. Austin III, and Command Sgt. Maj. Joeseph R. Allen was in attendance. Vice President Joe Biden, took the opportunity to thank and Iraqi service members for all of their sacrifices that led to the end of an almost decade long war. Day of Commitment Ceremony 493655
