Soldiers practice fueling procedures by utilizing a field expedient method commonly referred to as FATCOW. This method consists of using the CH-47F Chinook helicopter from B. Co, 3-25 "Hammerheads" as a fuel source for other aircraft. The CH-47 can carry several 800 gallon fuel system tanks in its cabin where are then used to refuel other aircraft. This method allows for Forward Arming and Refueling Points (FARP) in areas where ground resources may not be feasible. ( Army photo by Sgt. Sarah D. Sangster)
