Soldiers practice fueling procedures by utilizing a field expedient method commonly referred to as FATCOW. This method consists of using the CH-47F Chinook helicopter from B. Co, 3-25 "Hammerheads" as a fuel source for other aircraft. The CH-47 can carry several 800 gallon fuel system tanks in its cabin where are then used to refuel other aircraft.
