English: Section from postcard of the third Herne Bay Pier, built 1899. This section shows the stone balustrade taken from London Bridge and used for the entrance of the first Herne Bay Pier in 1832. It was repositioned a few times and by the time of this photo it had been there 100 years. It was removed in 1953 after storm damage.
