He was or-dained an Elder and filled a missionto the Northern States in 1919-1921,laboring as mission secretary most ofthe time. He was ordained a HighPriest in 1921 by Stephen L. Rich-ards, and set apart as second coun-selor in the Ogden 9th Ward. On { 760 LATTER-DAY SAINT April 15, 1923, he was ordained aBishop by Stephen L. Richards. Heacted as president of Y. M. M.
