Fairy Bridge near Downham, Lancashire.


The Fairy Bridge close to the village of Downham, Lancashire. The Bridge, possibly C17th, restored 1938. Sandstone rubble. Narrow, with single tall segmental arch and solid parapets with boulder copings. The southern side has a plaque inscribed: 'Rebuilt by Public Subscription 1938'.
