Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to vertex of head and ratiier slenderly scaled, the 3rd moderate ; frons smooth ; eyes large, round; antenn.'B of male minutely ciliated; thorax clothed with scales and hair mixed and without crests; tibite slightly fringed with hair ; abdomen with dorsal crests on two basal segments. Fore wing with the a])ex rounded, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate; vein 3 from well before angle of cell ; 4, 5 from angle ; 6 from upper angle; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form a rather long areole ; 11 from cell ; male with two depressed grooves in end of cell whicli is rounded at extremity. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 stalked ; 5 fully developed from above angle of cell; C>, 7 from upper angle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. A. Fore wing with the terminal area not suffused with red and with white streaks in the interspaces cyanea. B.
