This is the total eclipse of the Sun over the waters of Lac Brome, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada, on April 8, 2024. The twilight sky colours are from the light of the Sun from areas outside the path of totality. This is looking southwest, the direction toward the eclipsed Sun but (to the right) also the direction the lunar shadow arrived from and where the sky brightened first at the end of totality. This is from the Tiffany Park area of Lac Brome in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, on the east side of the lake where several dozen cars and eclipse chasers gathered this day for a fine view. The bright object below the eclipsed Sun is Venus. High cirrus clouds added to the sky colouration and visibility of the shadow passage. This was taken near mid-eclipse. This is a single 1/6s-exposure from a 1200-frame time-lapse, with the Canon RF15-35mm lens at and Canon Ra at ISO 125. Sky detail and contrast emphasized with Luminar Neo Enhance filters. ------------- Il s'agit de l'éclipse totale de Soleil au-dessus des eaux du lac Brome, dans l'Estrie du Québec, Canada, le 8 avril 2024. Les couleurs du ciel crépusculaire proviennent de la lumière du Soleil provenant de zones situées en dehors du chemin de la totalité. Ceci regarde vers le sud-ouest, la direction vers le Soleil éclipsé mais (à droite) aussi la direction d'où l'ombre lunaire est arrivée et où le ciel s'est éclairé en premier à la fin de la totalité. Ceci vient du secteur du parc Tiffany du Lac Brome dans les Cantons de l'Est au Québec, sur la rive est du lac où plusieurs dizaines de voitures et chasseurs d'éclipse se sont rassemblés ce jour pour une belle vue. L’objet brillant sous le Soleil éclipsé est Vénus. De hauts cirrus ont ajouté à la coloration du ciel et à la visibilité du passage d'ombre. Cette photo a été prise vers le milieu de l'éclipse.
