On 30 August 2008, the Italian Post Office, have issued a stamp depicting the bell tower of Treviglio.


Treviglio (Italian: [treˈviʎʎio] ( listen), Eastern Lombard: Treì) is a town and comune in the province of Bergamo, in Lombardy, northern Italy. It lies 20 km south of the capital city, in the lower territory called "Bassa" marked by the Adda and the Serio rivers. With approximately 29,000 inhabitants, the comune is now the second most populous town in the province. It is also called "the tractor town" for the presence of the SAME Deutz-Fahr headquarters. read On 30 August 2008, the Italian Post Office, on the occasion of the millennium, have issued a stamp depicting the bell tower of Treviglio. The bell tower is a tower of Treviglio in Lombard Gothic style in front of the basilica of St. Martin on the northwest side, the main church of the city. With its 68 meters high, is the symbol par excellence of the entire city and is a constant reference point, visible from miles away. redad
