Without knowing more regarding the arrangement of the piping, it cannot be determined whether the flows run downhill and the lower ends of the returns are two feet above the water level in the boiler, but it is probable that about the only changes required will be to disconnect the ex- pansion tank and place automatic air valves near the lower end of each coil, in addition tp providing the usual steam trimmings for the boiler. A steam trap or pump will be needed if the returns are not well above the water level. Even with hot water heat, do not use more than three 2-inch flow pipes and 'eight 2-inch returns in each of the 50- foot houses, unless there is more than two feet of glass in the side walls.
