That this is an age of progress in mechanical arts isnowhere better exemplified than in this factory. Labor saving machinery hassuperseded the more laborious hand work, and to say that an article is handmade is no longer a proof of its superiority. By the aid of labor saving machin-ery, carriages are being turned out with greater rapidity and better C. W. Taylor, vice-president and general manager, devotes almost his entiretime and attention to the business.
