American sergeant William H. Quinn of the Civil Affairs unit assists Vietnamese villagers in cooking soup for their lunch. The soup was donated by the Marines to the citizens of Hoa Thai village during a humanitarian operation. In addition to the soup, the Marines also donated rice and meat, and provided medical treatment to the sick and injured.
