World's Fair, Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, opened for two six month seasons closed fair not sanctioned as an official Expo, theme was: Peace through Understanding, optimism of The Space Age era and emphasis on bright technology led future, pavilion left: Progressland sponsored by General Electric, a 200ft wide dome designed by Welton Beckett and Associates, right is Pool of Industry with Fountain of the Planets which shot 400 tons of water as high as 150 feet via 2000 water nozzles included were light music and firework shows, a vintage nineteen sixties photograph
