Airmen and Soldiers from various active duty and national guard units participate in a ruck march in Elwood, Kan., May 5, 2017. The service members were qualifying for the German Armed Forces Proficiency badge, hosted by the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard. The event includes running, swimming, sprints, pull-up hang, pistol marksmanship, and a ruck march. Participates may qualify in bronze, silver, or gold categories.
