Communal grave of unclaimed ashes number one, where people executed by the NKVD were secretly buried from 1930 to 1942, at the Donskoye Cemetery in Moscow, Russia. It is believed the mass grave contains the remains of 4259 victims of Stalin's regime. The plaques with the names were installed by the relatives since the 1980s. Text in Russian on the tombstone means: Remains of the innocent victims of political repressions tortured and executed in 1930-1942 are buried here, to their eternal memory.
