Recruits from Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, maneuver a high obstacle during Obstacle Course II at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 20. The recruits were allowed to complete the obstacle by sliding down under a single bar or by pulling themselves up and sliding down two bars. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate June 30.
