A cased pair of breech-loading percussion pistols, Mathias Nowotny in Vienna, circa 1840. Octagonal barrels of browned, twist Damascus with eight groove rifled bores in mm calibre. The maker's inscription and numbers "1" and "2" respectively are engraved on top of the barrels. Frames with high quality engraving and swivel chambers. Fake cocks on the sides, one with a small old repair. Set triggers. Fluted walnut grips. Iron furniture finely engraved en suite. Length of each cm. In the original walnut case, key missing.
