Leaving their homesand families, to face not only the enemy and their bullets, but fireand starvation as well. I am proud. said he, to be the civilhead of such an organization. August 16th, the Corps assembled at the Armory in full dressuniform for the purpose of attending the Permanent Exhibition,by invitation, it being Soldiers Day, and there gave an exhibi-tion drill.
