This is known as the Chub Sucker, Sweet Sucker, Rounded Sucker, Creek Fish,and Mullet. It has a wide range, practically including all the waters of the UnitedStates east of the Rocky Mountains. The Chub Sucker grows to a length of about 1 foot. It is very tenacious of lifeand is a ready biter, but has little value for food. The young up to the length ofseveral inches have a very distinct lateral band.
