A working lego laptop made by London software engineer Peter Howkins, at the first ever Silicon_Dreams British Vintage Computer Festival, 6th-7th July, Snibston Discovery Museum in Coalville, Leics., He built the computer for £100 and half of that was the cost of the lego. The laptop runs the RISC operating system made by Acorn computers in 1996. The 48 mhz machine has 64mb RAM, a 3 GB hard drive and can browse the internet as well as provide a platform for retro-gaming. Photo by John Robertson/Silicon_Dreams, 2013.
