Fort Clatsop, along the Columbia River in Oregon, is the historical site of Lewis and Clark's fort occupied from 1805 to 1806.

“At this place we had wintered” (written in Lewis' log). This is historians and archaeologists best guess of what the fort looked like and where is was located, thou no physical evidence has been linked to this site. This replicated fort was built in 1955, burned down in 2004 and restored in 2006.
