Leaves in 4s, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, acutish or acuminate, 3-nerved, moreor less ciliate on the margins and nerves, i-2jlong, 5-ii wide, the lower smaller and obtuseor obtusish; cymes rather few-flowered, loose,widely branched; flowers sessile or very nearlyso; corolla glabrous, yellowish green to purple,its lobes acuminate; fruit dry, hispid with longhairs, 2-2l broad.
