PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2017) The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), left, and the guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102), participate in a simulated strait transit during a group sail training exercise with the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group. The group sail training exercise is the first step in the Theodore Roosevelt’s integrated training phase and aims to enhance mission readiness and warfighting capabilities between the ships, air wing and the staffs of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group through simulated and real-world scenarios.
