An intermediate vegetable between the Cabbage and Turnip. The stem above the ground swells into a bulb somewhat resembhng a Turnip ; this again is crowned with leaves. The e iible is the bulb, which is dressed and seived like Turnips, and is very delicate and tender when young. It is very hardy, withstands severe drought, and is a good keeper. Cultivate the same as for Cabbage, but in hoeing be careful not to mrow earth into the heart of the plant, or the bulb cannot form. EARL,IBST ERFURT WHITE.
