Thewedge shape was obtained by building out a wooden frameworkattached to the parabolic vestibule, and by covering this frame-work with a galvanized iron sheathing. As seen from the photo-graph, the flat surface of the wedge began at a point just forwardof the small side windows of the parabolic vestibule.
