Symington, This paper continues the series commenced by myNotes on Malayan Dipterocarpaceas—I published bycourtesy of the Director of Gardens, Straits Settlements inthis Bulletin, Vol. VII, pt. 2 (1933). As previously, thespecies dealt with have been selected in no systematicsequence but are those concerned in various problems thathave demanded attention from time to time. I have first discussed the genus Seaphula Parker. Thestudy of this group involved some more or less intensivework upon all our species of Anisoptera, the results of whichare thought to be worthy of publication. Next I have endeavoured to clarify the position withregard to the much confused species Hopea sangal, followingmy notes on which a description of its close ally H. semi-cuneata seems appropriate.
