Young carrots are appetizingly prepared in this way : Boil in salted water till tender, drain, and serve with drawn butter. If you please, they may be cut into dice. They are sometimes served acceptably with peas ; the contrasting colors certainly make a pretty combination. The carrot leaf is finely cut, of a lovely bright green, and it can garnish a dish very effectively. Some persons enjoy pickled carrot. Lettuce.
