Vietnam: Hang Giay or Shoe Street, Tu Ky District, Hai Duong Province, in the Red River Delta Region, east of Hanoi. (early 20th century). Hai Duong province was established in 1831 and was first called 'Thanh Dong' ( East Province). In the early 20th century, the patriotic movement expanded in Hai Duong, and in the 1930s the majority of people in Hai Duong joined the two resistance wars against French imperialism.
