LARNACA, Cyprus (April 11, 2017) Capt. Tate Westbrook, commander, Task Force 65, provides remarks during a change of command ceremony aboard USS Ross (DDG 71) April 11, 2017. During the ceremony, Cmdr. Bryan Gallo relieved Cmdr. Russell Caldwell as commanding officer of the ship. USS Ross, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe and Africa.
