MENINGOCOCCCAL MENINGITIS


The left foot of a patient infected with the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis, skin tumours and bleeding beneath the skin are clues to diagnosis. Clinical manifestations include fever, nuchal rigidity, seizure, severe headache, petechial rash, stupor, focal neurologic deficits.
