Arthurian legend refers to the vast body of medieval story that focuses on King Arthur of Britain and Galahad, son of Sir Lancelot, was one of Arthur's Knights of the Round Table and the one who went on the quest of the Holy Grail and achieved it. The Holy Grail, shown appearing to Galahad here, was a sacred vessel that appeared in many legends, and was often identified as the chalice (cup or plate) used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper.
