Russell Henry Manners (1800-1870), British astronomer and naval officer. From 1829, he devoted much of his time to astronomy. He retired from the Navy in 1849 with the rank of Admiral. He served in many administrative roles in the Royal Astronomical Society, including being President between 1868 and 1870. A crater on the Moon is named in his honour.
