Rietzer See (Lake Rietz) is a nature reserve near the town of Brandenburg in Northeastern Germany with two shallow lakes and lots of wetland which have been restored in major parts like the "Streng". Rare bird are seen in the area with vast reed beds, in spring and autumn lots of migrating birds like geese and cranes are resting in the wetlands. Der Rietzer See ist ein Naturschutzgebiet südöstlich der Stadt Brandenburg im Nordosten Deutschlands. Es besteht aus zwei Seen und Feuchtgebieten, die in großen Teilen wieder vernässt wurden. In diesem Gebiet brüten viele seltenen Vögel, im Frühjahr und Herbst rasten in diesem Gebiet sehr viele Zugvögel wie Kraniche und verschiedenen Arten von Gänsen.
