This patient was observed inJuly, 1913. and remains in the samecondition in March, 1922—nearlyeight years. The lesion involved thetibia and showed the bowing and in-creased thickening of the cortical layeras described by Paget. The patient wasa white male, aged fifty-eight, and theossifying periostitis of the tibia de-veloped gradually after a contusion. Itwas of two years duration when I firstsaw the patient. The Wassermann wasnegative, antiluetic treatment had noeffect; no search was made for foci ofinfection. The patient still suffers from 10 INFECTIOUS OSSIFYING PERIOSTITIS—BLOODGOOD. L
