Paramoudras enchassés dans le grès (Jaizkibel, Guipuscoa, Espagne). Sur le littoral rocheux entre Fontarrabie (Hondarribia) et Pasajès (Pasaia), d'étranges rochers peuvent être vus. Si les concrétions sont courantes dans le calcaire (craie), celles de Jaizkibel se trouvent dans des falaises de grès, ce qui est exceptionnel. Leur origine est vraisemblablement due à des animaux fouisseurs vivant dans des terriers autour desquels s'est fait un transfert d'eau et de sels minéraux dans un sédiment encaissant plus meuble. / Paramoudras embedded in sandstone (Jaizkibel - Guipúzcoa (also known as Gipuzkoa) - Spain). On the rocky coastline, between Fuenterrabia (Hondarribia) and Pasajes (Pasaia) odd boulders can be seen. If concretions are common in carbonate rocks (limestone) they can exceptionally be found in the sandstone cliffs of Jaizkibel. Their origin is likely due to fossorial animals living in holes around which has been made a transfer of water and mineral salts in a softer surrounding rock (during sediment compaction and lithification).
