V De Vereeniging ter bevordering van de belangen des Boek-handels in Nederland, overtuigd, dat niets zoozeer kan strekkentot ontwikteling van den boekhandel als bekendheid van zijneavtikelen ook in tet buitenland, wenscht Let hare bij te brengenom den vreemdeling op de Wereld-Tentoonstelling te Pliiladelpliiabekend te maken, met het wetenschappelijk en letterkundig stre-ven in Nederland. Zij zendt daartoe eene, door een aantal uitge-vers bijeengebraclite verzamelii^g, oorspronkelijk Nederlandscheboeken, bijna alien van de laatste jaren, door inhoud of uitvoe-ring uitmuntende. Wie echter wenscht de Nederlandscbe letter-kunde in haren ganscben omvang te leeren kennen, zal die, in deonder No. 6-9 mede tentoongestelde Alphabetische lijst van Ne-derlandsche uitgaven, kunnen vinden. Onder de ingezonden boeken bevindt zich ook eene verzamelingvan de beste schoolboeken, en eene andere van Nederlandsche tijd-schriften en dagbladen.
