Carnations are of extremely good quality, and mignonette, sweet peas, forget-me-nots, jonquils and all bulbous stock are plentiful and of fine quality. Various Notes. The automobile show, to be held Feb- ruary 24 to 27, is the occasion for the use of flowers in great quantities. Miss Ruth Flick has returned from Guerin Hall, St. Mary of the Woods college, near Terre Haute, Ind., where she visited her sister. Miss Marguerite Flick, who is a student at the college. The Bradley Flower Shop will move from its present quarters at 828 Cal- houn street, to 1026 Calhoun street, on the expiration of its lease March 20. R. F. NEW BEDFORD, MASS. The Market. St. Valentine's day business was sat- isfactory to everybody. To many of the florists it proved to be much better than was anticipated. Violets were in great demand. They brought 40 and 50 cents per hundred, wholesale. Pans of tulips and hyacinths were plenti- ful and sold well. Sweet peas, daffodils, carnations and roses were cleaned up in good shape. The prices of good roses in all varieties are still high. Other prices arc normal. Various Notes. Post & Gray were unusually busy with funeral work during the early part of last week. William E. Mosher has some excellent callas. He intends to do some extensive altering and repairing at his place dur- ing the coming spring and summer. Some of the best violets
