These dramatic pastel pink and blue skies are a feature of evenings in late monsoon season. These have formed above the hills to the north west of the Kathmandu valley in Nepal. Hiding in the shadows of the hill sits the important Buddhist stupa at Swayambunath. The amazing formations really are something different in shape form and colour. Evening sunlight casts subtle shades of closer to art than photography. They capture the essence of the physical elements that shape the natural world.
