Southend on Sea, Essex, UK. 12th Aug, 2022. Götheborg of Sweden is a sailing replica of the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg I, launched in 1738, and visited London to welcome visitors on board. This wooden replica ship was launched in 2003. After being on show in Thames Quay in Canary Wharf, the ship has set off towards the North Sea passing Southend on Sea in the Thames Estuary and is due to star at the Bremerhaven Maritime Days from 17th August. Passing Grain Tower, mid-19th-century gun tower situated off Grain, Kent, standing in the mouth of the River Medway
