Album novum andAlbum Krsetzeri are beautiful whites, macranthum^Melpomene, and roseum superbum have fine rose andcrimson colouring. It flowers through the late summer and into autumn,and is one of the best of Lilies to arrange in successionto longiflorum. For pot culture the Lilies should berepotted when they have turned yellow, in deep potswell drained, in a compost of light loam and leaf-mouldand a little old hot-bed stuff, the bulbs put low toallow a liberal top-dressing when they have made alittle growth, as they have stem-roots. They shouldthen be put in a cold frame and kept just safe fromfrost. After the top dressing has been applied, andwhile the Lilies are growing strongly
