1932 - The (then) new road traffic & pedestrian Lambeth Bridge, London, UK, which had recently replaced an older bridge which was downgraded to a footbridge. It crosses the River Thames in central London standing on the site of a horse ferry between the Palace of Westminster and Lambeth Palace. the approach is still called Horseferry Road. Opened on 19 July 1932 by King George V, designed by engineer Sir George Humphreys and architects Sir Reginald Blomfield and G. Topham Forrest. Built by Dorman Long.
