NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Maj. Michael Hernandez, 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron, an F/A-22 pilot, discusses preflight operations with Senior Airman James Douglass, 422nd TES, F/A-22 crew chief. The F/A-22 is the newest fighter in the Air Force inventory and is currently undergoing test and evaluation here. The new fighter is tentatively scheduled to be operational in late 2005.
