Scott & Son bought a number of plants from the introducers. When these came into flower there appeared some plants which were of a variety quite different,—a magnificent climbing rose, with large, brilliant flowers like The American Beauty. To Robt. Scott <fc Sox, with their forty-six years' experience in growing Roses, this variety was entirely unknown,— to the introducers it was equally unknown. A plant has been sent to Messrs. Alexander Dickson & Sons, the famous Rosarians of Great Britain, and when it flowers they may be able to identifv it. Meanwhile we call it "The GREAT ; The Superintendent of The Model Farm considers it the finest of all hardy climbers. flS^For description see the Cherry=Colored Plant Circular enclosed with this Catalogue. i.
