Furnham Inn Chard 1973 number 0027
The garden fence shown in this photo from 1973 was still there in 2004 when its sister photo was taken, as is the stone entrance wall but not the continuation of stone wall towards the rear. The sign has been changed by 2004 from Bass Charrington to Free House with the painting of horse, barge and bargee being similar but more naively painted. Researched in 2020 and the post sign may?? have been reduced in height and now states that there is a function room, skittle alley, beer garden and live music.
