A bronze sculpture of the River-God Tyne by David Wynne is mounted on an external wall near the council chamber of the Civic Centre at Barras Bridge Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The building was opened in 1968. The bronze is sixteen feet ( m) high and two and a quarter tons (2880 kg) in weight.
