Closed.—-By reversing the movement of the block it is kept in placeby the pressure of the spring above referred to on one of the faces of thecam. Fired.—By a back-action side-lock of the usual pattern. Extraction.—By what is essentially a bent lever pivoted below themouth of the chamber, one arm of it playing by means of a stud onits inner surface within a helical groove in the periphery of the breech-Mock.
