At the time the familyremoved to Illinois, George A. was fifteen years oldand he has been a resident of the old homesteadsince his parents settled here in 1856, with the ex-ception of five years spent in Rockford. At the time of his marriage, Mr. Burritt boughtsixty acres of the home farm and soon after pur-chased one hundred and sixty acres that time he has purchased the old home-stead and is now proprietor of three hundredand twenty acres of well-improved land.
