The Night and Day cafe is in Northern Quarter, 26 Oldham Street, Manchester-Uk. It was opened in 1991 as a chip shop, first owned by Jan Oldenburg, also known as “the Maverick”; it slowly developed into a music venue and gained a reputation for pioneering live music and supporting alternative bands. Bands like Kassabian, Jessie J., Paulo Nutini, Artic Monkeys, and Manic Street Preachers played at the venue. 2018 Jan Oldenburg passed away, and Jan´s daughter and her husband manage the venue.
