The State Railways, SJ YOA1 31. Electric sample motor carriage was developed by ASEA and ASJ. This sample engine was inserted in regular traffic in a number of places in Sweden, including in Boden and Västerås-Enköpings area. The samples fell to SJ full satisfaction and decisions were made to convert 30 diesel engine cars to electric motor cars.
