Castro Marim is one of the oldest cities of the Algarve. In the 13th century ist has been the head quarter of the Order of Christ, former it is a small village of about 2000 inhabitants, more known for its castles and position near the river Guadiana, which seperates Portugal from his spanish neighbour.
